This auction is for transferring your Regular 8mm, Super 8 and/or 16mm movie film to (1)DVD, (2)Blu Ray, (3)Files uploaded to either your hard drive or my Google drive (where you receive them in your email) or (4)YouTube (privately or Unlisted). We can handle your very small quantity of film to your largest. Your film is gently handled as if it were our own. We have been in the movie film transfer business for over 35 years and during that time have been extremely committed to our film transfer work always striving for THE BEST. We use the very latest in professional true film scanning equipment in order to preserve every single frame of your priceless movie film. It captures and preserves image detail and color like none other. We have transferred movie film for many of our local Kansas City TV stations as well as personally for many of our local TV anchors and their families. We have done movie film transfer work for customers from Kansas City to Australia. You can also find some of our film transfer work in the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. If you would like to view a demo of our work please let me know and I will send you a link to our YouTube site where we have many clients home movie transfers uploaded. Some of our customers have given us permission to use their movie film transfers for demos. eBay will not let us list the links here on these auctions. I always keep a Master copy of your movie film transfer DVD's on file. Return shipping charges for your movie film and DVD's always FREE within the US using Media Mail. If you are located outside the U.S. you will be responsible for your return shipping charges. Thank you. We always do a true frame by frame scanning and will never do a direct transfer method. If you compare the two methods side by side the direct scanning does not bring out the detail or color of the film compared to frame by frame scanning. We have proved it time and time again. We use a scanning system that is very gentle on your film. Our machines do not have sprockets, gears, claws and pinch rollers that can easily damage your priceless movie film as found in old style film chains. We use the same frame by frame transfer method that is used in movie film transfer studios in California and New York. When the movie studios film on 16mm, 35mm and/or 70mm, these prints must be transferred to digital files for DVD, Blu ray and movie theater distribution. They all use the frame by frame scanning method because of the high quality results and also because it is has been the proven industry standard for many years. There are so many film transfer processes to choose from and many movie transfer companies. Just take a look at our feedback and you be the judge. We have worked with many professional film and video editors over the years that prefer our quality level. We love to have customers come by our studio when they are in the Kansas City area to observe our process. We are proud to show our customers how we do it and how this whole thing works. After being in the film/video production business for over 35 years we have a lot to be proud of. We DO know of companies out there that project an image from a movie projector onto a folding movie screen or into a little cine mirror box and then record it with a video camera. This is really elementary and a horrible way of transferring your precious movie film resulting in a very poor quality of transfer. If you are shopping around I strongly urge you to ask the different transfer companies "how will they transfer your film?" And then if you have more concern about it I would even recommend that you ask them if they are in fact using a little cine box with a mirror or screen to transfer movie film. When 'movie film transfer' companies are transferring your precious movie film in this 'shotty' way, many times they end up cropping off the sides and/or tops of your movie frames and many times you never know it and sometimes they never know it either. Our scanning equipment is computer controlled and we are actually using 2 computers to get your transfer perfect. Our sensors detects the x and y axis on the scanner and aligns your movie film perfectly, even without touching your movie film, except on the very sides away from the frames. Your movie film gently runs through the gate, sprocketless, capturing each frame. For your transfer your can choose High Definition in 720p or 1080p or Standard Definition in 480p. If you have a preference you will need to let us know when you purchase. Usually customers will choose the 720p or 1080p if they are wanting their transfer in just file form (QuickTime .mov) and put onto the customers hard drive or flash drive. If you are wanting your film transfer put on a Blu Ray disc in High Definition we can also do that. If you are really picky like I am I would advise you to do your homework on this to choose your best movie film transfer company that meets your needs. There are so many companies out there that have cropped up just over the past 5 years doing this work that it will be worth it for you to do some research. Back 30 years ago we use to just transfer these old film to VHS videotapes. Back in those days there were just a handful of transfer companies around the U.S. doing this kind of work. Another item I wanted to bring up is FEEDBACK on my auctions. We ONLY do movie film transferring for customers here on eBay and that is all. That is our specialty and you will never see anything else on my feedback results but movie film transfer feedbacks from customers. On occasion I will sell off used film and video equipment on my auctions in order to upgrade to new equipment but that is it. You might even see new equipment purchases sometimes that we've bought off of eBay. This is the reason we have a lower quantity of feedbacks compared to our competitors who sell miscellaneous merchandise on here in addition to film transfers. We view and critique your transferred movie film on our 65" professional Sony monitor before it is shipped back to you or if your movie film file is emailed to you through our Google Drive. We also offer movie film transfer services to other video production companies in the United States and around the world and those alone keep us quite busy. If you own a video production company and you are needing film transfer services for your customers please get in touch with us. I have had numerous customers ask me who does the movie film transfer work at our studio. I (Gary) am the only one who will do you movie film transfers for you. Your quality is my number one priority. If I am not happy with your movie film transfer then you will not receive it until I think it is perfect. I hope this will answer some of your questions. I really do appreciate all of the kind words that I have been receiving from my customers. Thank you. ---Gary HOME MOVIE FILM DETERIORATION--------VINEGAR EFFECT What do we mean by the "Vinegar Effect" or what we normally call the "Vinegar Syndrome"?All cellulose motion picture film deteriorates even when stored in a clean, dry and cool place over time. While this can take years to deteriorate it would be prudent to regularly inspect your movie film. Regular 8mm, Super 8 and 16mm film are made from tri acetate cellulose and over time the chemical compound can react and cause the start of decomposition which in it's early stages starts giving off a typical "Vinegar Smell", hence the name "Vinegar Syndrome". The appropriately named vinegar effect is characterized by the strong odor given off by the film. The strength of the smell is not an accurate way to determine the overall condition of the deteriorating films. Do not be too discouraged if your 8mm, super 8 or 16mm smells of vinegar as the smell could be in the early stages of your film breaking down but can still be transferred without any problems. I highly recommend to get your movie films transferred as soon as possible. I've seen some film come thru our studio where the film has curled or warped so badly that it was almost impossible to work with for the transfer. Obviously, this film was in it's latter stage of deterioration. We eventually do get them transferred but it is always very time consuming and very costly for the customer. GET YOUR MOVIE FILMS TRANSFERRED NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. Your family history and nostalgic memories are at risk of being lost forever due to film deterioration and NOW is the time to take positive action to hand down your family trust and knowledge in a medium that will last for a very very long time in a DVD, Blu Ray or Digital file (QuickTime) format for safe archival storage. ********* SPECIAL NOTE: WE WILL NOT TRANSFER ANY TYPE OF PORNOGRAPHY. THIS AUCTION IS FOR TRANSFERRING YOUR PERSONAL FAMILY HOME MOVIE FILMS ONLY TO DVD, BLU RAY, GOOGLE DRIVE OR HARD DRIVE. WE WILL NOT TRANSFER ANY COPYRIGHTED MOVIE FILM. THANK YOU.
